My Story
So you are probably wondering who I am and how I came to find Scentsy? I'm just a regular girl, living a pretty regular life, but because of Scentsy I feel like I have discovered myself and turned my "regular" life into a scentsational life!! (See what I did there hehehe)
I work a full time job as a Unit Clerk in the Emergency department where the excitement never ends (and neither does the workload). I'm married to an amazing guy who is a huge Scentsy lover and supporter too! He loves earning the free trips with me and shares Scentsy to get there! ;)
I discovered Scentsy the summer of 2013, when I was invited to a co-workers Scentsy party. I had never heard of Scenty before and went just to support her as she was a new consultant herself. There were only 3 people at the party, including me, but once I sat down at her kitchen table and started smelling all the scents and looking through the catalog, I knew I had found something amazing!! I placed my first order, after struggling with the decision of what to get since I was on a budget, and waited eagerly to receive my order. I can't remember all the bars I ordered, but my very first (and still favourite) warmer was the Whoot warmer, and the first scent we fell in love with (my husband is obsessed) was Paradise Punch. A few weeks later she offered me the option to do my own party. I decided to do a basket party, where I could take the scent samples to work and share with my friends and coworkers, collect orders, and get the rewards. I must have done pretty well (I don't even remember!), because once my party closed, she offered me the opportunity to sign up as a consultant so I could make money too! I didn't think too much of it, but a few weeks later I thought "What the hell, may as well score myself some free and half priced Scentsy and see how I do".......little did I know what was in store for me!!
Once I started sharing my new business, the orders and customers just started rolling in! I was impressed with how easy it was to "sell" Scentsy, really all I was doing was sharing a product I loved, and others were falling in love too! I mean how hard is it to just share the fragrances with people and have them connect a particular scent to a memory they had! I absolutely love that about Scentsy. Memories are made and triggered by something as simple as a scent! I can't tell you how many times I've heard something like "this takes me back to my grandmas garden" (Tomato Vine), or "I remember sitting at my desk sharpening pencils and it smelled like this!" (Waves and Wonders).
Over the first year I did really well with my sales, but it wasn't until someone randomly found me on the consultant locater and decided to join my team, that I realized growing a team and really get this business going was going to be something I could work towards and be proud of. I still thank that one consultant that made me realize I could actively grow and train an amazing team and actually be a leader! Our team currently has 55 fantastic consultants on it, and I am so happy to call all of these men and women my friends. I promoted to Director (2 levels from the top of the company!) in November 2015.
Scentsy has blessed my life (and I don't use that word lightly), with so many things. Not only have I made a significant amount of extra money for our household, I have earned 8 all expenses paid trips (Caribbean cruise to 7 islands, Cozumel cruise, Nashville, Dominican Republic, Mediterranean Cruise, Anaheim/Disney, Cancun and Austin), grown an amazing team, met the owners of Scentsy (who are the MOST genuine, honest, down to earth millionaires ever!), made countless friendships- not only with my teammates, but with my customers, and other consultants around the world; and obviously stocked my household with all the Scentsy a girl can dream of!!! BUT the most important thing Scentsy has done for me is made me find who I am, encouraged me to set goals and hit them, and boosted my confidence by miles!! I NEVER thought I would be a "salesperson" and I still don't consider myself one. I'm just simply sharing a product I love and use and I light up when I see others fall in love too.
I'm excited to see where Scensty takes me in the next few years...Superstar Director here I come!
